I'm very excited to announce a new productivity app for iOS: Mneme AI, an AI assistant which lets you chat with your own personal notes, documents and books.

The AI assistant runs entirely offline and locally on-device, thanks to the power of the iPhone (iPhone 14 or newer is recommended for good AI assistant performance).

Ask questions using natural language and the AI assistant will give personalized responses with information from your own notes, documents and books.
For each answer, it will cite the exact notes (and pages in your PDF documents or books) it uses to generate its response.
This makes it easy to verify the correctness of the AI responses and allows you to effortlessly dive deeper into relevant parts of your notes.

A few questions -

- Can it handle different file formats like .docx or .epub?
- How does it handle large libraries of documents?
- If I upgrade my phone, can I transfer my indexed data?

I’d love to try one in person. Is there any retailer that has reMarkable samples?I was just thinking to get Remarkable 2, and there the newer version appears. I am curious what does "15% less glare" means (reMarkable Paper Pro), and "Reflective digital paper display" (reMarkable 2).

Is it the same ink display? Or reMarkable 2 is a better ink display? :-) 
How the new version comparable with an iPad for instance?My toddler daughter loves drawing on paper. This haptic tech has me wondering if the reMarkable could be a good fit for my daughter to get the sense of coloring with real tools and not digital (for instance she hates drawing on an ipad). Then I would not have to manage 452,331 coloring utensils and pieces of paper!

So excited for our third product launch on here. This time we're launching Minutes AI, a simple, flexible, AI-powered note taking app.

Minutes actually has a pretty interesting origin. For the last year or so Declan, Phillip (my amazing co-founders!) and I have been working on JotBot, an AI writing tool for students. While we were working on JotBot, we launched a feature that took lecture notes for you. 

This feature blew up. We had a single TikTok showing this features get 55 million views, our most viral video ever. Interestingly enough, even though the video showed students using the app for their lectures, a bunch of people who saw the video ended up trying out the app in meetings, webinars, and other professional settings. 

And so we decided to launch the feature as a standalone mobile app going after this new, intriguing audience. In fact, we went viral for meeting minutes all over again just last week, getting us ~25,000 installs in our first month or so. 

Now, we’re thrilled to officially introduce Minutes AI to you all!

We know there are a lot of meeting recorders out there with a whole spectrum of interesting features and capabilities. These tools are great, but can get overcomplicated. We want to focus on making the app experience simple, intuitive, and flexible — no setup, no linking your zoom account — just hit record and get beautifully formatted notes, every time.
