Well since we have all the transcribe and analysis by we can easily use LLM to figure out user needs 😉I like how you anticipated what people would ask because I've seen a few no-bot AI note-takers on product hunt launched in the last few weeks and how you really focused on shipping a quality product by scheduling it 10 times!

I see that this is a Mac App, but also a web app, I'm curious what's the main difference?

I like how you are addressing a real pain point which is people get distracted from the meeting - getting a catch up feature is great!

Congrats on the launch @mattisssa and team!@tonyhanded haha, yes, it's already a classic to see note-takers launch here. We even thought to make a joke and add to tagline AI-powered meetings, light years ahead of note takers 😁

It's hard to see launching of these products but we have a very good core user base that provide us with feedback and motivates us to keep working hard.@tonyhanded the difference in macOS/web app is that macOS is the primary one, this is something you use to do the recording, navigate through the results, do exercises for English and etc.

Web is supposed to be only as a read-only option, so you can read summaries, points, tasks, share them and do most of what you can do in app but not to record@tonyhanded thank you again for the support 🙌

So excited for our third product launch on here. This time we're launching Minutes AI, a simple, flexible, AI-powered note taking app.

Minutes actually has a pretty interesting origin. For the last year or so Declan, Phillip (my amazing co-founders!) and I have been working on JotBot, an AI writing tool for students. While we were working on JotBot, we launched a feature that took lecture notes for you. 

This feature blew up. We had a single TikTok showing this features get 55 million views, our most viral video ever. Interestingly enough, even though the video showed students using the app for their lectures, a bunch of people who saw the video ended up trying out the app in meetings, webinars, and other professional settings. 

And so we decided to launch the feature as a standalone mobile app going after this new, intriguing audience. In fact, we went viral for meeting minutes all over again just last week, getting us ~25,000 installs in our first month or so. 

Now, we’re thrilled to officially introduce Minutes AI to you all!

We know there are a lot of meeting recorders out there with a whole spectrum of interesting features and capabilities. These tools are great, but can get overcomplicated. We want to focus on making the app experience simple, intuitive, and flexible — no setup, no linking your zoom account — just hit record and get beautifully formatted notes, every time.

3. You can add note with speech-too-text, but we dont listen the whole call, so you are in control 100%congrats on the launch! how do you approach privacy? in the meetings, lots of sensitive data is discussed...@max_kotin thank you.

First, no one has access to your meetings except people in the room.
Every audio message is deleted shortly after it is transcribed.
No one reads or listens to your meeting. Every validation of the AI model that we need we do strictly with our records or with the permission of our users.
And some obvious things like HTTPS, firewalls on the servers, and security audits.@hr6134 but the data is sent to a LLM, like OpenAi, Claud or Gemini, isn't it?@max_kotin unfortunately right now some of it yes. However, we try to minimize the usage of third-party services and run a lot of algorithms locally. Obviously, in time, we will move everything to our own servers.Congrats on the launch! 🎉
