Urban India is rapidly embracing the convenience of instant deliveries, with startups like Pronto leading the charge in home services. Offering cleaning, laundry, and cooking prep services within 10 minutes, Pronto has secured a $2 million seed round led by Bain Capital Ventures, valuing the startup at $12.5 million.

The Rise of Instant Services

With the success of platforms like Blinkit and Zepto, the demand for quick services is undeniable. Pronto taps into this trend, providing three service options: instant (10 minutes), scheduled, and recurring, available 24/7 in Gurugram.

Addressing Gig Worker Concerns

Amid criticism of gig worker treatment by platforms like Urban Company, Pronto emphasizes a "win, win, win" approach. Founder Anjali Sardana highlights their empathy-driven model, ensuring workers are not treated as commodities. Pronto workers can earn up to ₹26,000 monthly, significantly higher than the typical ₹9,000 in the Delhi-NCR region.

The Quick-Service Model

Pronto's 10-minute service caters to the immediate needs of urban Indians, with 70% of customers returning within 14 days. Operating from hubs in Gurugram, the startup ensures services are within a two-mile radius, with most demand coming from 500 meters around each hub.

Future Plans

Pronto plans to expand to 10 new hubs in Gurugram, grow its worker network to 700, and enter markets like Mumbai and Bengaluru. The startup also aims to introduce health insurance and fintech products for workers, addressing their unmet needs.
