I used to be forced to use HEIC to JPG websites, upload original, download the transformed image and use it in the original form I was trying to submit.

This has become super easy now. I can just select a bunch of photos from my iPhone and convert them to JPG in bulk using the native Finder. The reduced size is a cherry on top for me!

To be honest I didn't want to introduce too many features because I wanted it to be a very lightweight and simple utility you don't need to think about and just use it to compress images. 

And the general case I had was to just select a bunch of images and lower their size. Usually also in HEIC format, hence the auto-conversion.This looks really great! I just downloaded it, quickly set it up and now I can compress all my images with 1-2 clicks?! Neat.@ondrejkorol Thank you Ondra!

🤔 The Problem

I created milestones because I often encounter a specific problem. I have a very active life with various hobbies like music. I love developing open-source tools, occasionally give conference talks about cybersecurity, and sometimes move between different countries.

Of course, I share my journey on my social media accounts, and people know about it. However, when I meet someone new, they have no way of knowing my story. I'm tired of questions like, "I didn't know you lived in Berlin for 3 years" or "I didn't know you released a music album." When a new person looks at my social media account, they only see daily posts, and big events get lost among them.

I always wished I had a journal-like portfolio containing only the important events of my life to share with others.

A friend of mine told me that this is a common problem for startups as well. They share a lot of marketing material on their social media accounts. Because of that, he doesn't want to follow them. However, he then misses important events, such as when the startup receives investment from somewhere.

I wish there was a platform that contained only the important things and nothing else...

⛰️The Solution

I created milestones all by myself from scratch to address this problem. Now, people can create portfolios featuring the important events of their lives. They can add their Milestones profile link to their bio. Content creators can embed important posts from other platforms like Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, and Twitch into their Milestones profile. This way, everything that matters stays on a single page.

People can subscribe to each other to get notified about important events. This way, you won’t miss any important updates without dealing with the mess of social media platforms.

- The ultimate goal to help people regain focus back, is to rewire their mind getting familiar with lower dopamine baseline, scientifically speaking. One quick question. Review and ratings are one such thing that are really really essential in the journey of making a good product. and founders often would/should take their own time in reading and replying to a review. Automating this task, while for the short term, looks good, as for it to improve customer satisfaction and overall rating of the product, but in the long run, if the founders (or the product team) does read reviews, and rely on an AI Agent to do this task, how are they gonna make the product better and what the customers want?

I am also curious to know if there is something like a "Reviews Summary" that gives a brief summary of all the reviews and also flags any potentials breaks or bugs being reported.

But if you are curious we use Postgres on the backend with support for embeddings (we have some cool AI features launched like related blog posts and contextual call-to-actions, with more lined up)I’m a paying user and the thing i like about Wisp (over ghost and etc.) is that it works perfectly with my next js website but didn’t need me to create a whole new app. literally a directory in my next js app.

the market is full of solutions that are either optimized for marketers and lack flexibility when it comes to domain and branding, or are too over engineered and waste your time big time with the setup.
